Australia's Vault Minerals ASX:VAU said on Monday that it received an unsolicited takeover proposal from Genesis Minerals ASX:GMD valuing the gold producer at about A$5.6 billion ($3.88 billion).
Under the proposal, Genesis will acquire all shares in Vault by offering 0.7629 new shares and A$0.475 in cash for each Vault share, which the Vault board considers superior to an earlier bid from Regis Resources ASX:RRL.
