Australian stocks look set to fall at the start of Monday's session, giving back some of the ground gained during strong week-ending gains. ASX futures are down by 0.4% ahead of the new trading week, suggesting that the S&P/ASX 200 will slip into the red at the opening bell. The benchmark index surged 1.4% Friday to round out a 0.9% weekly gain. Ahead of the open, Genesis Minerals made a bid for gold miner Vault Minerals that the target said trumped its agreed merger with Regis Resources. Greatland Resources said its annual gold production was about 6% above the top end of guidance. Worley said it was awarded a project-management consultancy by Saudi Arabia's Aramco.
