Kamino says it is one of the core lending venues powering GOFR, Galaxy's new institutional lending program backed by up to $100M in first-loss capital, and that one of crypto's largest institutional lending desks is now sourcing credit on Kamino.
For Kamino, the change is that institutional credit flow is moving from a prospective integration to a live lending route with an identified capital backstop. That can matter operationally because a funded program can support recurring borrowing and lending activity, which gives Kamino a clearer path to sustained platform usage than an announcement without attached capital.
The effect is narrower than a platform-wide exclusive. GOFR sources credit through Kamino alongside Aave, Morpho, and Spark, so Kamino is participating in a larger venue set rather than capturing the full program by itself. That makes the launch a concrete addition to onchain lending activity on Kamino, while leaving the eventual share of volume dependent on how much of GOFR's credit demand is routed there.
