The Dow Jones Index went up by 156 points or 0.29 percent on Monday to close at 53056 points.
The rise was led by Boeing (3.55%), IBM (3.43%) and Goldman Sachs (3.28%).
On the downside, the weakerst performers were Amgen (-2.32%), Walt Disney (-2.13%) and Merck (-2.13%).
