The Dow Jones Index decreased 307 points or 0.59 percent on Monday to close at 51839 points.
The decline was led by Merck (-2.51%), Sherwin-Williams (-2.19%) and Boeing (-2.12%).
On the upside, the strongest performers were Microsoft (2.21%), Alphabet (1.36%) and Chevron (1.24%).
