The Dow Jones Index gained 236 points or 0.46 percent on Friday to close at 51947 points.
Gains were led by Salesforce (4.05%), IBM (3.61%) and Apple (3.52%).
Biggest losers were American Express (-4.41%), Honeywell International (-1.85%) and Goldman Sachs (-1.37%).
