China's securities regulator and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission jointly announced a series of new measures to deepen practical cooperation and closer coordination between the two markets, according to 36Kr. The measures cover listing and fundraising, index cooperation, futures products, exchange-traded funds, the international expansion of financial institutions, green finance, and easier access to professional qualifications. They include continued support for eligible mainland companies to list and raise funds in Hong Kong, support for eligible Hong Kong-listed companies to pursue mainland listings, and support for eligible Hong Kong firms to issue bonds on the mainland. The two sides will also encourage index providers to work more closely, launch more indexes based on China assets, and strengthen cooperation in futures markets, including support for Hong Kong to introduce more futures products denominated and settled in yuan.
