Brazil's vehicle production fell 3.0% month-over-month to 246,000 units in June 2026 after rising 6.3% in May.

The decline reflected lower light vehicle inventories at manufacturers following the delivery of around 79,000 vehicles with government-backed discounts to dealerships under a new Provisional Measure.

Light vehicle production totaled 189,200 units, down 17% from the previous month.

Passenger car output fell 6.5%, while bus production dropped 20.8%.

In contrast, production of light commercial vehicles rose 15.1% and truck output increased 3.9%.
