The annual inflation rate in Croatia eased to 4.5% in June 2026 from 5.2% in the previous month, marking the lowest reading since February and confirming preliminary estimates.
Price growth moderated across several categories, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.8% vs. 1.4% in May), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.1% vs. 7.5%), transport (8.6% vs. 12.5%), and restaurants and accommodation services (5.8% vs. 6.1%).
Meanwhile, inflation was unchanged for health (5.2%).
In contrast, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (12.0% vs. 11.8%), information and communication (2.9% vs. 2.7%), and recreation, sport and culture (4.1% vs. 3.9%) edged up.
Clothing and footwear prices continued to decline (-2.8% vs. -3.0%), though at a slower pace.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.4% in June, deepening from a 0.3% decline in the previous month.
