Kazakhstan’s industrial production rose 8.2% year-on-year in June 2026, accelerating from 4.7% in the previous month.

The largest jump was recorded in the manufacturing sector, surging 13.7% from 5.2% in the previous month, followed by the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning, edging up to 16.9% from 16%.

Meanwhile, mining quarrying output slowed to 1.8% from 3%, largely due to a decrease in production of crude oil and natural gas.

Activity in water supply, water drainage, waste collection, treatment and disposal, pollution abatement services contracted 1.3% after a 2.9% increase in the previous month.

For the first half of the year, industrial production rose 3.5% compared to the same period a year earlier.
