Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. is recalling a frozen GreenWise blueberry item sold at Publix grocery stores due to the risk of E. coli.

The recalled product was shipped to Publix stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

The Chile-based company said there have been reports of 12 confirmed cases of the stomach illness between May 11 and June 5 linked with E. coli O145:H28 infections.

Frutas y Hortalizas said the recalled 10-ounce bag has lot number 60401 and a best by date of Feb. 9, 2028.
