A whale address starting with 0xc278 has completed 61 BRENTOIL trades since March 19, with 59 long positions and two short positions, according to Hyperinsight. According to ChainCatcher, the trades resulted in a net loss of about $2.431 million, with million-dollar positions accounting for 99.4% of the losses.

The whale's latest Brent long was liquidated yesterday, closing 47,600 BRENTOIL long contracts in a liquidation worth about $4.046 million at a weighted price of around $84.99. The position lost about $275,000, and the address now holds no Brent exposure.

Before the liquidation, BRENTOIL on Hyperliquid fell from a Sunday high of $91.68 to a low of $82.81, a drop of 9.7%. The final backup liquidation price was about 7.6% below the high, and the decline came after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would pause new strikes on Iran and suggested a Middle East ceasefire agreement was nearing.

In early April, three of the whale's long positions each lost about $882,000, $513,000, and $460,000, but the address continued to remain almost entirely long crude oil and repeatedly recorded some of the largest single liquidations on the network.
