Robotics and autonomous vehicle plays could be the next winners of the artificial intelligence trade, Raisah Rasid, global market strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said in a briefing. "AI is a story that is going to be here to stay for a long time," Rasid said. "Mass adoption rate is really happening very, very quick, especially with generative AI." Earnings growth, particularly in the hardware space, has been driving returns across key markets as AI-related winners evolve away from hyperscalers, she added. However, the triple-digit percentage returns that South Korea's Kospi saw in 1H is unlikely to be repeated in 2H but will likely moderate as companies are unlikely to be able to maintain their strong pricing power for hardware, she said.
