Ferrari (RACE, Financials), the luxury sports car manufacturer, has reached its 2026 sales target for the Luce electric vehicle only two months after the model's launch.

The company had aimed to sell just under 500 units this year. Strong demand from China helped the four-door electric vehicle reach that target ahead of schedule.

The Luce is Ferrari's first fully electric model and carries a price of about 550,000. Its five-seat layout and family-car design mark a significant departure from the company's traditional low-slung, gasoline-powered sports cars.

The model's early sales performance suggests some Ferrari buyers are willing to embrace a broader product range, even as the company moves beyond the design and engine characteristics most closely associated with its brand.

The result could support Ferrari's electrification strategy while reducing concerns that an electric model would struggle to attract its core customer base.

However, the Luce remains a limited-volume product, and its long-term success will depend on whether demand stays strong beyond the initial launch period.

Investors will now watch future production plans, regional demand and whether Ferrari expands its electric lineup.
