Amazon NASDAQ:AMZN said its Amazon Business unit reached $60 billion in annualized gross sales in the second quarter, serving more than 11 million organizations across 11 countries. The company added over 1.8 million new organizations in the first half of the year, and counts 97 of the Fortune 100 as customers. Amazon shares were down 0.63% intraday.
Product selection grew nearly 30% globally this year, with new categories spanning repair tools, fresh groceries and office furniture, supplied largely by third-party sellers. Amazon said its business-specific discounts saved customers more than $1 billion worldwide in 2025, while Prime Business members saved over $880 million in shipping fees.
The unit is leaning on logistics and software to hold those customers. Amazon is running dedicated compressed natural gas delivery trucks in 13 US states offering scheduled windows and palletized bulk drop-offs, and has added AI tools for account support, spend analysis and flagging unusual purchases. Prime Business benefits now include partnerships with CrowdStrike NASDAQ:CRWD, Gusto and QuickBooks, which Amazon says can save smaller customers close to $1,100 a year.
