Costco Wholesale (COST, Financials), the membership-based warehouse retailer known for bulk groceries, household goods and value pricing, posted another solid month of sales growth in June.

The company said net sales rose 10.6% from a year earlier to $29.24 billion.

For the first 44 weeks of the fiscal year, sales reached $250.43 billion, up 10.1% from $227.46 billion last year.

The update shows Costco is still getting shoppers through the door at a time when many consumers are watching their budgets more closely. Its mix of groceries, everyday items and membership discounts continues to give customers a reason to keep coming back.

For investors, the June numbers are a reminder that Costco's model remains steady. The next thing to watch is whether the company can keep sales growing without giving up too much on margins.
