Alphabet (GOOGL) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.22 per share, keeping its payout unchanged for the second consecutive quarter.

The dividend will be paid on September 14 to shareholders of record as of September 7. The stock will also begin trading ex-dividend on September 7, meaning investors must own the shares before that date to receive the payment.

Alphabet is the parent company of Google, YouTube and Google Cloud. Its advertising and cloud businesses generate substantial cash flow, allowing the company to invest heavily in artificial intelligence while also returning capital through dividends and share repurchases.

The quarterly payout translates into an annualized dividend of $0.88 per share and a forward yield of roughly 0.26%. That remains modest compared with traditional income stocks, showing that Alphabet's dividend is still a secondary part of its shareholder-return strategy.
