Solana said Backpack Securities has launched tokenized Robinhood Markets ($HOOD) shares on Solana, tradable across Solana and Nasdaq and redeemable 1:1 for the underlying shares.
The launch adds a well-known U.S. equity to Solana's tokenized securities lineup. Cross-venue trading and 1:1 redemption connect the onchain asset to the underlying share more directly than a purely synthetic product, which can make Solana more useful as a venue for tokenized real-world assets.
The change is still an additional listing within a broader rollout of tokenized equities, rather than a direct shift in Solana's base economics. Availability also does not show how much trading or redemption activity will follow, so the practical effect depends on whether users and liquidity providers adopt the product.
