Intel NASDAQ:INTC-backed SambaNova Systems raised $1 billion at an $11 billion valuation as demand for faster AI inference infrastructure continues to attract major capital.
The AI chipmaker completed the first close of its Series F round, led by General Atlantic. SambaNova said it will use the proceeds to expand capacity, accelerate product development and scale deployments for enterprises, neo-clouds, sovereign AI customers and service providers globally.
The funding came alongside a major commercial win. JPMorgan Chase NYSE:JPM selected SambaNova as an inference infrastructure partner and will deploy its SN40 and SN50 systems for secure, on-premises AI inference. CEO Rodrigo Liang said the $11 billion valuation reflects the growing role of fast inference in the enterprise AI stack.
