Elon Musk said on SpaceX's earnings call early on Wednesday that SpaceX and Tesla are the two strongest hardware companies on Earth. According to Odaily, he said the companies are applying some of the expertise used for rockets and satellites to expand ground-based data centers.

Musk said even small lessons learned from building rockets can produce major benefits when applied to data centers. He added that future data centers are expected to have far more power supply and cooling capacity than they actually need. Musk also said SpaceX expects to receive a considerable share of Nvidia's GPU production capacity next year, based on discussions with the company.
