Alibaba NYSE:BABA-backed Ant International has raised $1.2 billion in its first publicly announced funding round, providing fresh capital to accelerate the fintech company's global expansion.
Ant Group and Alibaba both participated in the private equity raise, although neither disclosed how much they invested. Reuters reported last month that Ant International was valued at about $10 billion before the new financing.
Ant International is a Singapore-based digital payments and fintech company spun out of Ant Group in 2024. Through businesses including Alipay+, Antom, WorldFirst and Bettr, it provides cross-border payments, merchant services, treasury management and AI-powered financial technology for businesses operating across multiple markets.
The new capital is expected to support further international growth as the company expands its payment network and AI-driven financial services outside China.
