Equifax has struck a deal to buy Mexican credit bureau Circulo de Credito for an enterprise value of $750 million, expanding the data and technology company's business into Mexico.

Equifax on Tuesday said Circulo de Credito is the only Mexican credit bureau currently operating both consumer and commercial credit bureau services and generated revenue of about $134 million for the 12 months ended June 30.

The Atlanta company said it is acquiring Circulo de Credito from a group that includes Banca Afirme, Institucion de Banca Multiple, Afirme Grupo Financiero; Coppel; Grupo Elektra; and a group of private investors.

The deal is slated to close by the end of the year.
