Ford Motor NYSE:F rose 4.01% premarket after raising full-year guidance alongside second-quarter results. Adjusted EBIT reached $2.5 billion, up $0.4 billion from a year earlier, and adjusted earnings came to $0.42 a share against the $0.35 analysts expected. Revenue fell 4% to $48.3 billion, with automotive revenue of $44.89 billion landing under the $45.86 billion consensus, while adjusted free cash flow came in at $2.1 billion.
The quarter itself carried a $1.3 billion net loss on $4.2 billion of pre-tax special charges, including $3.6 billion largely non-cash tied to the BlueOval SK battery joint venture disposition. Ford Pro EBIT fell $600 million to $1.7 billion as Novelis aluminum constraints worked through. CFO Sherry House said Ford remains "confident in our net $1 billion EBIT improvement in 2026." Ford declared a third-quarter dividend of 15 cents.
Ford now sees full-year adjusted EBIT of $10 billion to $11 billion, up from $8.5 billion to $10.5 billion, and adjusted free cash flow of $6 billion to $7 billion, up from $5 billion to $6 billion. Ford Blue's outlook rose to $5 billion to $5.5 billion, the Model e loss narrowed to about $4 billion, and capital spending guidance held at $9.5 billion to $10.5 billion.
