Kyndryl Holdings has hired former Interpublic Group executive Ellen Johnson as its new chief financial officer.

Kyndryl on Monday said Johnson, who spent more that two decades at Interpublic, most recently as executive vice president and chief financial officer, will join the New York-based company on July 20 and become finance chief on Aug. 6.

Interpublic was recently acquired by rival Omnicom.

Kyndryl's previous chief financial officer, David Wyshner, left the company in February amid a review of its accounting practices.

The Feb. 9 disclosure of the review, along with weaker-than-expected quarterly earnings, sent Kyndryl's stock price down 55% that day.

Harsh Chugh, Kyndryl's global head of practices, corporate development and administration, has been serving as the enterprise technology services provider's interim finance chief since Wysher's departure.

Kyndryl said Johnson, 60 years old, will receive as annual base salary of $1 million and an annual bonus with a target of 125% of her base pay.

The board also said it named Andrew Bonzani as the company's new general counsel and secretary. Bonzani previously served as Interpublic's general counsel.

It's previous general counsel, Edward Sebold, left the company as part of the February shakeup.
