Eli Lilly NYSE:LLY gained attention after Canada's Drug Agency issued a positive recommendation for its eczema treatment Ebglyss, a move that could broaden patient access through public drug plans.

Eli Lilly said Ebglyss is recommended for people living with moderate-to-severe eczema after previously receiving regulatory approval in Canada. The recommendation from the country's health technology assessment body may support future reimbursement decisions and expand the medicine's availability.

Eli Lilly already markets Ebglyss in multiple countries, including the United States, where the biologic treatment is used to manage eczema, a chronic inflammatory skin disease that causes persistent itching and dry skin. The condition affects more than 200 million people worldwide.

Beyond its widely used obesity medicines, Eli Lilly continues to expand its portfolio across multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, immunology and arthritis. The company has also strengthened its drug pipeline through acquisitions and internal development, aiming to support long-term growth.
