Lockheed Martin NYSE:LMT said its Aeronautics business secured a U.S. Air Force contract valued at up to $142.9 million to provide software sustainment services for the C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft.
The contract covers software updates, maintenance, systems integration laboratory support, certification activities, and engineering services for the military aircraft. Work will take place in Marietta, Georgia, and Greenville, South Carolina, with completion expected by May 20, 2032.
The Department of Defense said the award is structured as an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract using both cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price arrangements. About $19.3 million in fiscal 2026 Air Force operations and maintenance funding was obligated at the time of the award. The contract was issued through a sole-source acquisition.
Separately, Lockheed Martin NYSE:LMT also received a Navy contract initially valued at about $60.6 million for AEGIS ship integration and testing. If all options are exercised, that agreement could reach approximately $1.38 billion and extend through June 2036. The work supports surface combatant ships and related tactical sites across multiple U.S. and international locations.
