Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing NYSE:TSM reported record second-quarter revenue of NT$1.27 trillion ($39.63 billion), topping market expectations as demand for artificial intelligence chips continued to support sales.
Revenue increased 36% from a year earlier, above the LSEG consensus estimate of NT$1.264 trillion. The result also landed within the company's previously projected range of $39 billion to $40.2 billion. TSMC is scheduled to release full second-quarter earnings on July 16.
For June, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing NYSE:TSM posted revenue of NT$442.68 billion, rising 6.2% from May and 67.9% from the same month last year. The company said continued demand for advanced AI semiconductors supported the monthly increase.
First-half revenue reached a record NT$2.404 trillion, up 35.6% year over year, reflecting sustained spending on AI-related infrastructure and advanced chip production.
