South Korean police searched the home of former Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok and the Incheon city government office, seizing phones, computers, and other materials. According to Foresight News, Yoo and his wife are accused of transferring about 21,000 crypto assets to an overseas exchange and intentionally omitting them from a property disclosure filed for a local election candidacy.
The Incheon Metropolitan City Election Commission said Yoo was suspected of violating election law, asked him to correct the property disclosure the day before the election, and said his actual assets were about 78 million won lower than reported.
