Canadian National Railway set a new monthly record for grain shipments in June, surpassing its previous high set six years ago.

The Canadian railroad said Friday that it moved 2.67 million metric tons of grain from Western Canada and surpassing its previous June high of 2.64 million tons set in 2020.

CN Rail said the performance reflects strong demand, coordinated work across the grain supply chain, and operational flexibility that allowed it to keep volumes moving despite heavy rainfall in parts of Western Canada.

The company said it has adjusted shipping plans with customers to maintain network fluidity and ensure grain reaches export markets.
