Canada's main stock index opened nearly flat on Monday amid retreating oil prices, weakness in gold miners and signs of easing tensions in the Middle East.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite index TSX:TSX was up 0.02% at 35,277.25 points.
