TSMC said it does not expect the reported halt in production of high-purity tungsten hexafluoride by Japanese specialty gas supplier Central Glass to affect its operations, according to Jiemian News. The company said its global procurement strategy relies on developing multiple sourcing options and building a diversified global supplier base.
TSMC's supply chain and suppliers also said there is currently no disruption to the raw materials used for tungsten-related gas, and that multiple alternatives remain available, suggesting limited impact on the industry, according to Jiemian News.
