ZymIQ Technology AB has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Imazo AB for the Kalzyme® brand in the Nordic market. The agreement covers Kalzyme's own range of animal health products in the Nordic market and includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
Kalzyme® is a range of enzyme based dental, skin and ear products with clinically proven effect, developed by researchers and veterinarians to offer safe and effective health products that promote good health in dogs and cats. The brand has been soft launched on the Swedish market at selected retailers.
Imazo was founded in 1962 and is today one of the Nordic region's leading distributors to the pet trade, with more than 1,600 points of sale and an annual turnover of SEK 350 to 400 million. Through its very broad retailer network, Imazo reaches pet stores, pharmacies and veterinary clinics across the Nordics. In connection with this agreement, Imazo will take over all previous retailers and continue to develop them.
A growing market for preventive animal health
Preventive health for pets is an area of strong growth, as more and more pet owners see their animals as a natural part of the family. The needs span several everyday areas, from dental care to skin and ears, where simple and gentle products can make a big difference to animals' wellbeing.
Kalzyme meets these needs with a cohesive range built on the same enzyme technology, whether for teeth, skin or ears. The products are developed to be easy to use at home and a safe complement for both pet owners and veterinarians.
For Imazo, the agreement is a clear addition within the fast growing premium segment for animal health, where demand for innovative and research based products is increasing.
As marketing gets underway and Imazo begins its sales rollout, Kalzyme is expected to be available in a broader selection at retailers this autumn.
