Adeia filed a patent-infringement lawsuit against FuboTV, claiming the streaming platform infringed on four U.S. patents in the company's media intellectual property portfolio.
Adeia, which patents technologies and licenses them to media companies, said Wednesday it is open to a resolution with Fubo and committed to reaching a mutually beneficial agreement.
The four patents involved in the suit relate to technologies that enable features of advanced media delivery and streaming experiences, Adeia said.
The lawsuit is a distinct matter with Fubo and doesn't involve the platform's parent company Disney, Adeia said.
