Orthocell ASX:OCC has appointed local firm MediTime as exclusive in-country distributor for its Remplir nerve repair product in Thailand.
The agreement gives Orthocell an established commercial pathway into a Thai nerve repair market it estimates at approximately US$84 million.
MediTime will support market entry after Orthocell received Thai Food and Drug Administration approval in CY25 to commercialise Remplir in the country.
Orthocell said the appointment strengthens its Asian distribution network, with Remplir sales already underway in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
The comapny remains well funded for continued commercial expansion, with more than $48m cash at 31 March and no debt.
Thai Market Entry
MediTime is a specialist orthopaedics and sports medicine distributor with established coverage across leading hospitals, medical schools, and regional centres in Thailand.
The distributor has built a strong commercial position in upper-extremity orthopaedic surgery, giving Orthocell direct access to its core customer base of orthopaedic and plastic surgeons.
MediTime’s operating model is based on surgeon education, key opinion leader relationships, hospital access, and national logistics capability.
Orthocell expects those channels to support surgeon engagement and accelerate Remplir adoption across Thailand.
Asian Network Expansion
The appointment extends Orthocell’s existing relationship with Device Technologies Group, which supports Remplir distribution in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
MediTime is backed by Device Technologies Group’s broader regional infrastructure and commercial expertise.
Orthocell continues to pursue a distributor-led strategy across key non-US markets while directing internal resources toward its company-led US commercial rollout.
Recent US approvals have expanded access to about 336 hospitals, including 221 US military medical centres.
Commercialisation Strategy
Managing director Paul Anderson said the appointment marked an important step in Orthocell’s Asian commercialisation strategy.
“Thailand represents a high-quality healthcare market with strong underlying demand for advanced nerve repair solutions,” he said.
“MediTime’s established clinical relationships, education-driven model, and national distribution capability make them an ideal partner to support the successful introduction of Remplir.”
Orthocell’s flagship nerve repair product for peripheral nerve reconstruction, Remplir has approvals in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Canada, Hong Kong, and the US.
The company’s broader regenerative medicine portfolio includes collagen medical devices for dental and orthopaedic reconstruction, along with autologous cell therapies targeting damaged tendon and cartilage tissue.
