Australian equities look set for an uncertain start despite a positive lead from major U.S. indices. Local stock futures are up by 0.03% ahead of Tuesday's session, having sat lower by the same amount on Monday evening. That could point to a slow start for the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index, which opened the week with a 0.15% decline. Ahead of the open, dual-listed dairy company A2 Milk said its annual China label formula sales were down 14% on supply chain problems. U.S. stocks closed higher as investors scooped up tech stocks on their return from the Independence Day holiday weekend. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.3%, the S&P 500 gained 0.7%, and the Nasdaq Composite added 1.1%. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
