Hungary's energy company MOL BET:MOL said on Wednesday that it received an official license from the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control to continue negotiations on the purchase of Serbia's Russian-owned NIS oil firm until July 31.
MOL signed an agreement in January to buy the combined 51.56% stake held by Gazprom Neft RUS:SIBN and Gazprom RUS:GAZP, pending approval from the U.S. Treasury.
