On July 24, CMTA launched CMTAT Confidential, a privacy-preserving security token standard built on the Zama Protocol, according to Zama's post on X.

For Zama, the release points to a practical use for its confidential-computing technology in institutional tokenization. That gives the protocol a concrete financial-infrastructure example rather than a general technical claim, which can help frame how its privacy features fit regulated asset issuance and management.

The announcement shows that this capability is available in a live standard, but it does not by itself show how widely institutions will use it. The nearer-term significance is the presence of a real tokenization use case built on Zama, which may strengthen its adoption narrative if follow-through develops.
