Brazilian holding company Itausa BMFBOVESPA:ITSA3 said on Tuesday it could subscribe between 730 million reais and 1.5 billion reais ($292.4 million) in a planned capital increase by water and sanitation company Aegea, depending on the participation of other shareholders.
Privately held Aegea earlier announced it had called an extraordinary shareholders' meeting to vote on a capital increase of between 1.5 billion reais and 2.1 billion reais through the issuance of new common shares at 55.29 reais apiece.
Itausa said any investment is not expected to have a material impact on its earnings this year.
