The European Central Bank received nearly 30 applicatons for its new euro liquidity lines, particularly from emerging countries, within a week of announcing those so-called repo facilities, ECB President Christine Lagarde said on Friday.
"On the day this measure was announced...we received nearly 30 legitimate requests within a week," Lagarde told an event in France. "These came from national central banks in emerging markets, in the Middle East, in Asia, and so on."
