Airbus's goal to deliver roughly 870 commercial aircraft to customers this year looks feasible after the pace of deliveries picked up in the second quarter, MWB Research's Jens-Peter Rieck writes in a note to clients. He estimates Airbus delivered 87 jets in June, following 81 in May and 67 in April, all above the ten-year 2Q monthly average of 56. He says strong deliveries put an end to a debate on whether the European plane maker should downgrade its annual target. He upgrades the rating for the stock to buy from hold. Airbus shares trade 2.1% higher at 198.70 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
