Airbus SE (EADSY), a European aircraft manufacturer, is in discussions to sell additional A330neo widebody jets to Saudi low-cost carrier Flynas Co SJSC and German airline Condor Flugdienst GmbH. Flynas is considering firming up options for eight A330neos, while Condor is discussing an order for roughly six aircraft, according to people familiar with the negotiations. The carriers could announce the potential orders as soon as next week at the Farnborough International Airshow, although the talks remain ongoing and may not result in completed deals.

Flynas declined to comment, while Condor said it continues to evaluate ways to expand its fleet in support of its long-term growth plans but did not confirm the reported discussions. Airbus also did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The aircraft manufacturer is separately expected to secure an A350 order from Riyadh Air, a Saudi airline, at the airshow outside London next week, which could add to Airbus's recent widebody sales momentum.

Demand for the A330neo has increased as airlines respond to the aircraft's earlier availability and favorable economics during the recovery in long-haul travel. Airbus last month secured an order valued at more than $10 billion for as many as 40 A330neos from SAS AB, a Scandinavian airline. Flynas currently operates more than 60 A320 aircraft, has over 100 aircraft on order, and previously agreed to buy 15 A330neos with options for 15 more, while Condor operates an all-Airbus fleet of more than 60 A320 and A330 aircraft. Further orders from the two carriers could deepen their reliance on Airbus and may reinforce investor expectations for continued demand for the A330neo.
