The CAC 40 Index gained 74 points or 0.89 percent on Thursday to close at 8326 points.
Gains were led by STMicroelectronics (6.80%), Hermes International (3.57%) and Societe Generale (3.24%).
Biggest losers were Thales (-2.95%), TP (-2.51%) and Capgemini (-2.09%).
