The CAC 40 gained 0.4% to 8,437 on Tuesday, extending its winning streak to a third consecutive session and reaching its highest level in three weeks, as investors welcomed a flurry of corporate earnings and updates.

Luxury heavyweight LVMH rose 0.5% after reporting an acceleration in second-quarter sales growth and topping first-half revenue and earnings expectations.

The upbeat update lifted sector peers, with Hermès gaining 1.8% and Kering rising 2.1%.

Moreover, Safran jumped 3.6% after raising its full-year guidance following a stronger-than-expected first half, as robust demand for civil aircraft engine spare parts helped drive its operating margin to a record 18.4%.

Orange added 3.5% after posting solid first-half 2026 results and upgrading its guidance.

On the economic front, French consumer confidence edged up to a four-month high of 86 in July from 84 in the previous month, although it remained below its long-term average of 100.
