Schneider Electric's first-half results are expected to confirm strong underlying momentum, Deutsche Bank Research analysts say in a note. The French group's strength is being driven by strong execution in electrification, alongside improving trends in industrial automation after a softer first quarter, the analysts say. While gross margins are expected to be slightly weaker year-on-year in the first half of the year, day-to-day operating cost efficiencies and operating leverage should protect Ebita margins, leaving profitability broadly in line to slightly ahead of consensus, they say. The results are viewed as low risk on margins, with attention shifting to whether guidance is raised for the year on the back of sustained demand strength. Shares trade 0.2% lower at 275.5 euros.
