France has decided to scrap a two-euros fee on small low-value e-commerce packages arriving from outside the European Union from July 1 in what French Minister for Small Businesses Serge Papin explained was a "tactical suspension".
Papin told TF1 TV that this was because from July 1 a European Union fee of 3 euros would apply to these packages, and that from November the two fees would be cumulated, bringing the total fee to 5 euros.
