Greece's jobless rate stood at 8.1% in May, down from a downwardly revised 9.1% in April, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on Wednesday.

Seasonally adjusted data showed 383,740 people were officially unemployed.

Unemployment impacted women more than men, at the rates of 11.7% and 5.0%, respectively.

The jobless rate for young people aged 15 to 24 years dropped to 16.8% in May from 20.7% in the same month in 2025, ELSTAT said.
