Honduras' coffee exports jumped 26% year-on-year in June, reaching 6.66 million 46-kilogram bags, according to data released on Wednesday by the Honduran Coffee Institute (IHCAFE).
In the same period last year, Honduras' coffee output was of 5.29 million 46-kilogram bags.
Export value reached $2.1 billion by late June, with an average price of $316.26 per 46-kilogram bag, down 11% from $356.20 in the prior harvest.
Sales totaled 7.03 million 46-kilogram bags, a 23% year-on-year increase, the IHCAFE said.
Honduras surpassed its initial export forecast of 6.5 million bags for the 2025-2026 harvest, achieving 102.5% of the target.
The country remains Central America's leading coffee producer.
Global coffee exports are typically measured in 60-kg bags, or about 1.3 times a 46-kg bag.
