Indonesia's rice output in the first eight months of this year is expected to be 25.28 million metric tons, down just 0.05% from the same period last year, the statistics bureau said on Wednesday.

The bureau said Indonesia is expected to experience drier weather in July and August due to the El Nino weather pattern.
