Italy's liabilities towards other euro zone central banks in June hit their lowest level since August 2016, central bank data showed on Tuesday.

Data published by the Bank of Italy showed Italy's Target2 debt last month was down to 335.639 billion euros ($383.50 billion) from 358.562 billion euros in May.

The European Central Bank's funding to Italian banks was up to 18.848 billion euros at the end of June compared with 15.829 billion a month earlier, data also showed.
