The Japanese government is always ready to take "appropriate action" if necessary regarding foreign exchange, Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a regularly scheduled press conference, Kihara added he would not comment on current foreign exchange levels.
